The Charlotte County Airport Authority is an important commitment for Commissioner Seay. However, it is a part-time responsibility.
Ms. Seay's full-time job is teaching law in the Justice Studies Division of Florida Gulf Coast University. Her office is located at the Fort Myers campus of FGCU in Lee County. However, much of her time is spent in Charlotte County teaching via Internet to students across Florida and around the country.
She is a licensed attorney in the state of Florida and is one of only 47 persons in the state who are certified by The Florida Bar in International Law. This has been a very helpful addition to her service on the Airport Authority, since she or her firm have represented pilots and other aviation-related entities, and she has been very active in business development, including international business.
Before becoming an attorney, Pam spent many years in advertising, marketing, and public relations. Her background includes a bachelors degree in Advertising/Graphic Design, and she was an instructor in advertising at the Kendall College of Art & Design and the Center for Creative Studies in Detroit.
In 2015, the National Academy of Sciences, Transportation Research Board, published a book written by Ms. Seay along with John Adams Hodge and Kyle Seay titled "Sovereign Immunity for Public Airport Operators."
